We don't like the color RED. We prefer black and automatic. We want a higher horsepower GMMG Camaro like the ZL1, or another phase Car with high HP.

We considered a Gen 4 Trans AM Firehawk but we are love Camaros.

Good lucking finding a 4th gen ZL1, if you do it’ll be a lot more than a 6th gen ZL1. Try the GMMG collector page, they have GMMG cars for sale on that page.

Like I said my son and husband are looking constantly for a GMMG Camaro, however recently a really nice blue/white GMMG sold for like $75,000. That really is a lot of money for a 4th generation Camaro. For that kind of money, you could buy the brand new 2018 ZL1-1LE.

A fine example of a GMMG but only 351 hp and not cheap priced at $35k.

Here's two that look promising.

ZL1 1LE isn’t a collector car like the GMMG and Berger Camaros were.

Hmmm.....my money is on the ZL1-1le. Its not a collector's car yet because it is brand new. If it is made for a year or two in limited quantities, two decades from now (when all of the v8 heat is dissipated) I'd wager that the ZL1-1le will command a premium.

Its nothing bad about the GMMG cars at all. Collectibility depends a lot on image, reputation and availability. Then again, its not an exact science and sometimes its hard to predict what will be a collector and what will be a dog. My money is still on ZL1-1le.

They're good. I really like the first post. The second post is overpriced...way overpriced.

Shop around. There are some good ones, and there are a lot of dogs out there. Verify first that its an SS, then look them over good. Bear in mind that in reality at best they are worth roughly 15,000 for an excellent one, and those wanting more are really robbing you blind. I'm not too keen on the values either, but they are what they are. Keep in mind your use as well. If its a car with no miles, then that's not a bargain unless you intend to use it as a paperweight. I love 4th gens, but its not an easy car to own or shop for so shop carefully.

If you can find a GMMG or Berger car for 15,000 or less let me know! If you think those cars are over priced . . . well I’m not too sure what to tell you. SS cars with low low mileage go that. Hell I was looking at buying a 1 of 5 1LE Hugger Orange SS a year ago, he wanted 15k for it . . . even with 175k on the clock! I only had 10, a few inquires later and 2 weeks time and he sold it for 15k. It’s a rare car, not only for the option but also the color. Normal Hugger Orange SS cars are going for the mid 20’s and are selling for that, those are cars with 40-50k on them. Need to know the significance of these cars. A 5th gen and 6th gen SS, ZL1 and 1LE are a dim a dozen and that’ll hurt there value in a few years.

Sure they charge those prices, but it doesn't mean that they're worth it. The 15 grand figure was meant for the regular production v8 fbody, not including the gmmgs.

Don't turn your back on the 5th and 6th generations. As good as my beloved 4th gens were, the ZL1s, 1LEs, etc. did eclipse them in performance. Their production numbers were low as well, so its a very good indication that they will be worth more in the future.

The bad thing is that it will take a lot longer for them to appreciate due to the glut of cars. You'll always have people charging more for a car than its worth; Its up to the wise buyer to shop around and to get a good car for the right price.

I've seen guys ask ridiculous prices for those dusty old 4th gens........I'm laughing with the bottom of my stomach at them. Its one of the reasons why I took care of and kept mine. I don't have to shop for another one, and it'll always be here for me to enjoy.

Productions numbers for 4th gens were still lower. 2010 production alone was near 100k, no 4th gen year was near that. For example, my car is 1 of 103. Good luck to the person looking for a car that rare for a low price.
