Question How to convert 2014/2015 Camaro Tail lights from Non RS to RS

I am looking for anyone who has done this or know exactly how to do it. I am about to get my hands on a pair of LED, RS style tail lights and am looking on some form of DIY guidance. I have seen CFTA's thread. He explained his method well, but not the specifics needed to recreate his results. Thread here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=360094

So what I'm looking for is:
1) What are the specs to the load resistors and in what quantity?
2) He states he was able to split the brake and turn signal wire. What color are these two wires and what harness pins did you wire them to?
3) Maybe some form of wiring diagram or instructions?

Really, I am trying to save $150 on the PnP harness.
All help is appreciated!

SO, I ended up getting the gen5diy harness. Since CFTA didn't really explain 'how' he did it, I saved myself the headache. Seriously. The RS tail lights have VERY different plugs and will take some time to find out which prongs to tie into and so on. Quite honestly, if CFTA did the kit all himself I am impressed. Especially since I can see what looks to be the very module within the gen5diy kit in his pictures (6th down).

I ordered them from this site off of a 2015 ZL1. I don't know the exact part numbers without taking a few trim pieces off. I did a search and found this site that has 4 part numbers. I couldn't tell you which to chose from, but what separates them is the "auto leveling headlamps" (either with or without)...not sure how that makes a difference when these are tail lamps. Anywho, try searching the marketplace here in the forum...You can pick them up for half the price.

W/ Auto leveling headlamps:
Left PN: 23256983
Right PN: 23209710

W/o Auto leveling headlamps:
Left PN: 23256982
Right PN: 23209712

Here is the link to GM parts list: http://www.gmpartsdirect.co/auto-par...ail-lamps-scat

If going from non-RS (non-led) to RS (w/ LED), you will absolutely need the gen5diy harness. The plugs are completely different, you will need resistors of many sorts, too much of a headache IMO. Here is the link to that:

Oh, now you spiked my interest lol. What did it cost for the RS halo headlamps and harness to run them? I have seen astronomical prices so I was just going to open up the non-RS lamps and stick some projectors in there myself.

I buy them used, i paid about $500 dollars for the headlamps plus $125 for modifying the original harness, i paid about $1800 for everything including the bumper, grilles, bezels and hood and the painting job.

I dont have new pics, this one is before the new hood and as you can see is missing the bezels for the foglamps, now is finished.

Nice job. I would only need the headlamps. How did you "modify" the harness?
