My business for the last few decades has been certifying and training people on thermal imagers. These have ranged in price from $1900 to $300,000. The manuals are now non-existent with everything electronically available.

I'm not debating the merits of an electronic vs paper user manual (I actually asked the dealer why they have a hard copy version) but if they are going to the trouble of printing one, I think they could do better than throwing it into a plastic baggie.

Hell, my 2000 Ford Ranger that I had in college even had a neoprene cover for the owner's manual. At the end of the day, just put it on a smartphone app and be done with it! Mine sit in the crappy little plastic bag in a drawer in my desk.

The only car manual I've been impressed with was the Hyundai Equus, because they used to give you an iPad with the car manual loaded on it. It only lasted for a year or so though.

My 5th Gen came in a nice black pouch like the pic of the Corvette Manual above. The only plastic were the Floor Mats

Even the lowly vw comes with a nice leather looking slip case. Probably has something to do with pollution controls.

It's electronic, which is nice, but it'd also be nice if it were available through the infotainment display. There should be a help button with hyperlinked searchable help right there in the car...

(Might be, for all I know... just sayin'.)

It's just been a plastic baggie since the mid-2000s.

Yeah...our F-150 came with a really nice leather case. It's not really insignificant in my opinion. It makes a negative impression. Obviously on a lot of us...

I'd like for them to ditch the post card page format and go to a larger page size. It made sense when it had to fit in a glove box, but now that they're going pdf, it'd be a lot easier to read.

It probably wouldn't fit in the glove box with a cover, man that thing is tiny... =)

But I'm with the OP on this one, I was kinda disappointed with the ziploc baggie...
