I can buy 68-72 Corvettes for $15K-$25K all day long. Some even less depending on condition and options. But hey whatever works for ya. Good luck with the sale.

Here is a 1972 big block, 4-speed car. It's $34K but obviously because it's a true, all original, big block 4-speed car. If it was a 350, automatic car, it would easily be half that. But frankly, I'd be surprised if he saw $30K. Very surprised.

Here's a 77 for sale, last year of the notch-back. $6700 bucks. He'll be lucky to get $5K and be happy he got it.

Give the wheels and tires a good treatment. And if he does it all himself the cost is minimal.
This.

Years ago, I went to a Ford dealership to look for a car for my sister.
The used cars on the lot had potato chip bags and empty drinks in the front seat. Its like they just didn't care. I pointed it out verbally while other people were looking. A salesman had a cartoonish frown like an upside down "U".

If your client cleans the car thoroughly (and I mean thoroughly), then the ad could be "Been in the family for x years; well maintained". Then, when they see the pics, buyer will say "If its in the family, they really did take care of it. Nice".

As far as a detailer, that may not happen since he is struggling during COVID. He can probably do just as good. Believe us, it will increase the value and mores expedite the sale.

A total detail won't increase the value on those Vettes that much. The bubble window rubber bumper cars are just not worth big money and any non stock mods further reduces the amount you will get for it. People who buy those cars typically want them completely stock or close to it. I know I would.
