A8 dipstick

I’ve looked many times for an aftermarket dipstick for the A8. It’s crazy that this hasn’t been addressed for the 6th gen. Maybe there’s a technical reason for the lack of dipstick. It sure would make it easy to service the tranny fluid and replenish as it was in the ‘good ole days’. I’ve read these are built in a “clean room”. (Possibly true)

So tonight the google machine was fed the A8 dipstick query and as usual nothing appeared except the dipstick for the trucks.

I mean what’s wrong with buying one of these and duct taping it to the windshield pillar?

What also doesn’t make sense is how GM isn’t replacing converters for the shudder problem. Once upon a time I built race converters and there’s no way trashed clutch material floating around the tranny will do nothing but cause other problems. Not to mention the clutch mating surface getting a compromised surface finish.
