I know due to legal issues in 12 states, GM doesn't allow sound to be recorded in valet mode. I don't live in one of those states and would like for it to record sound. I'm hoping someone will come up with something to override this.

Nope never will get sound.

GM had a whole ordeal with the vetts they did record sound and for the reason you mentioned there is no more sound.

I bet there's a way to unlock it with programming. I dropped my car off for tint and clear bra. When I picked it up, I saw they curbed my front splitter. Of course they denied it and said it was never even parked in a way where that could happen. Well, the PDR video shows otherwise. I haven't shown them the video yet. If it had sound, I know you'd be able to hear it scrape. I've been extremely careful not to bottom the car out. It only has 900 miles on it so far and now the first damage happened by someone I paid to protect the paint.
