Good catch. That could be some of the issue there. But I could swear I saw a guy post in another thread he had a 320 or 500gb hard drive that would work. May have been using NTFS which I've seen mixed results on.

I'm using this 64gb drive:

When it arrived it was formatted as exFAT which will not read in our cars. We can use FAT32 or NTFS. Interestingly enough, I have two Windows 10 computers and one read it originally as FAT32 so I copied my media over to it and plugged it in and it would not be recognized. I moved it over to my Surface Book and checked the format and it was showing as exFAT in the properties. I reformatted it to NTFS and copied over the media and all my songs and playlists came over and read perfectly in my '17 2LT.

I have the same Sandisk 128gb usb drive im my car and it works fine. gets hot though. I deleted the other files 1st though.
