What is the difference?

Thank you

The copper free are mandated by the West coast regimes. You can't buy a Camaro there without them.

They are bigger to offset a potential loss of braking power. That said, if you can get ahold of aftermarket pads, it really doesn't matter. There are lots of aftermarket options to increase braking power. You get more braking potential with bigger brakes though and that's not a bad thing.

I am on the dirty east coast, so they are not "needed". I am not racing so maybe save the 1K

Standard SS 4 piston up front?

While a huge upgrade, I dont think I would bother on your 2SS build.. Its only $500 for the 1LE, and its a nice upgrade from 1LE brakes.

$1k option to get a BBK on a car is the deal of a century. I guess the amount of people liking BBK's are in the minority.

It's not a huge upgrade from 1LE brakes but it is for standard 1SS or 2SS.

Yeah it seems odd they are cheaper than the 1LE brake addon?

I'm wondering if there are two versions of copper free - one for normal sized brakes and one for 1LE brake replacement.

Thanks for clarifying, thats how I intended to say it anyway haha. Big upgrade for non 1LE SS, nice upgrade for 1LE @ $500.

I'd take a picture for you to show you just how massive and awesome they look, but my car is off getting tints and PPF put on.

Like I said, deal of the century for $1k. I don't get why people are downplaying the brakes or the value. It's not going to be Worse than the copper ones, and if you end up replacing the copper free pads with normal ones that perform better, well now they're just clamping down on massive rotors for even more stopping power. We all know in emergency situations, that extra foot or two can mean all the difference.

Safety, value, and did I mention they look awesome in how they fill out the 20" wheels?
