Pressure washing / foam cannon
Apologies if this is a stupid question - I've watched youtube vids and read online but can't figure it out.
I have a pressure washer which I bought to clean the deck with, and I just got a foam cannon attachment for it. So now I want to try it out and wash the car, but I am afraid of stripping the paint when I rinse the car off. I have the following pressure washer (in case that tells you anything about the nozzle): https://www.amazon.com/Sun-Joe-SPX15.../dp/B079YYBDT7 How do I make sure I don't strip the paint? I read somewhere that different nozzles are sold (25 and 45 degrees?). Do I need to buy those adapters, or can I use the one that comes with the pressure washer? If so, how do I know how much pressure to apply? |

I have a pressure regulator on the wand, would recommend getting one. Home Depot or similar carries them

I usually set it about half way but I think we are not talking the same thing.
This is what I use https://www.amazon.com/Powercare-AP3...18369582&psc=1

I would not worry, a little common sense, keep the wand (tip) 10-12 inches from the car with 35* to rinse to start. 45* tip for finish rinse. I have the same pressure washer for the last 2 years with zero issues. If you didn’t get the other tips, I think they are on Amazon.

https://snowjoe.imgix.net/product-fe...&fm=webp&w=500 As for the pressure washer, im glad it's lasted that long - I got it on sale for ~$60, couldn't pass up that deal. |

Mine is not adjustable, but it came with a 10*, a 25*, 35*, and a 45* nozzle. If memory serves it is a 1700 psi washer, vs my 4500 psi Honda!

FYI: this is the foam attachment that is inserted onto the end of the wand of the pressure washer.
You want to avoid spraying high pressure water directly on the car. |

Hey, thanks! This is exactly what I bought. I understand this is only used to cover the car in foam. My concern is for when it's time to rinse off the foam. To rinse it, I assume I have to take off this tip, and put on the regular wand that came with the washer. I am just having trouble understanding what setting (angle) to use during the rinse-off step.

Using a hose and the "pooling" method you will have fewer water spots.

I want a pressure washer just so I can use a foam cannon. So much better than a foam gun.
I use a brass hose valve so I can shut the water off and change attachments. You could also use a quick connector. |
