Replacement key 🔑 Made! Dealership doesn’t have any in stock!

I know gm is off strike now! Does anyone know when they will have anymore replacement keys 🔑 available? It’s been 3 months and the dealers do not have any as of yet! Are there any other options? And what would the price be? The dealership wanted $50

Just order one off Amazon. I think I got two keys for less than $50. The dealer charged me $20 to cut it and I programmed it myself.

Edit: It actually was only $30 for two keys.

So long as you have one good original key it takes about five minutes.

I got my spare from eBay for something like $15. My local dealers can’t cut the keys so my local lock smith did that for another $25. I too programmed it on my own.

I ordered from a website someone gave me, got the blanks cut at Batteries plus Bulbs, programmed them myself, no issues. 2 keys was something like $40, cutting was $49 total, so 2 keys was less than $100.

Definitely call around to check on the price for cutting. One dealer wanted $35 per key. The one right down the road only charged $20.

My local Chevy dealer don’t even have the machinery for cutting the keys they said it’s to expensive....wth! Found out they outsource to Cadillac so I went to Cadillac and they outsource as well because the cutter has been broken for months. Also Cadillac charges $60 per cut but I found a local locksmith who did it for $25 but would of done it for free if a had the special code number from Chevy. Thing is Chevy never told me that so I called to get the code and they said they could not give the info over the phone these stealerships suck.
