I have always ran all 4 of the Toyos r888r’s. I think they drive as good as the stock ss and stock zl1 tires, but look a lot better than stock and hook better than stock. All my buddies that street race only run r888rs or Mickey Thompson et streets. These drive a lot better than the Mickey’s and hook better as well.

I run r888r's on all four corners, 315s on the rear and 285s on the front. Street only. I'm more than satisfied with their performance. I would not run different tires on the front versus the rear. No manufacturer recommends such a set up. Why take the risk?

Alot of options and setups to choose from. 295 fronts take the R888R out of the pick though. Good thing I have 2 months or so to figure it out before winter is over

I run 325 R888Rs on the rear, and 305 PS4S on the front (aftermarket wheels), and have been very pleased with the combo. The Toyos hook great on the street, but they do have quite a hum that can be irritating on longer drives.

Anyone pushing north of 650whp have experience with MP4S? Looking to upgrade the rears in the spring and considering the Toyo r888rs but concerned about road noise.

Iím looking into either Toyos or PS4S as well once my stocks run out, just torn between if they PS4S are going to hook on the streets or if the Toyos are going to fall away like the GY3R do

I've heard the PS4s give up a little bit of dry grip compared to the stock GYs so I'm thinking they wont cut it for 100whp over stock. I've heard great things about the R888rs and supposedly tread wear is comparable to stock F1s.

R888Rs in 325/30/20 hook on the street great! My car makes 620/650 to the tire. I run 295/30/20 PS4S in the front and love this combo

325/30/20 on stock rims? No rub? Or did you use spacers?

Sorry, they are on a set of BC forged 20x11.5 and with a +41 offset. No spacers.

without a shadow of a doubt the R888R is NOT an ice-skate on the street even with multiple heat cycles on them. I've raced from a dig and from a roll...while they don't hook like a Mickey Thompson ET Street SS or R for that matter, they certainly hook better than most tires Ive run on my car.
FWIW...My car is roughly 820-850 WHP
Overall, I'd say they're a solid choice if you want to spend the money on them. They are expensive and don't last long while used as a street tire.

Pulled the trigger on a pair of these magical 315/30/20 R888R's, hope they'll play well with 285/35/20 PS4S in the front.

The difference from stock height will be -0.7% and +0.7%, respectively, so this setup should work just fine. Come good weather we'll see, can't wait (sigh).

On the street my PS4S are holding 190+whp over stock from 2nd gear on up. They are overall a much better compromise tire as compared to the stock Goodyear F1 SC3.
