The Camaro is mine. The family car is a '15 Cruze.

In the market
I gotta get something better on gas soon. Looking at the Chevy Cruze or maybe the Buick Regal. I drove a loaded Cruze for a few days and was surprised I liked it so much and the gas mileage was phenomenal.

Ours is good on gas. They look sharp on the road too. My sister has a new one with the feature that shuts the engine off at stops, but it comes back on once you hit the gas again. It's a bit annoying (to me), but there should be a switch on the console to disable it.

I’d love to get the hatchback diesel Cruze so I can save on fuel and still haul stuff but those things are expensive. I can grab an older average miles sedan for $10k so I’ll probably got that route.

We have a 2013 Cruze that has been a bit of trouble. Turbo failure and replaced at 99k miles under the powertrain warranty. I have had to replace the valve/cam cover once because of the well known PCV issue the 1.4 Turbo has. There is a permanent, non-GM fix for this but I haven't tried it yet, although I am certain I will get the chance to based on the Cruze forums. Engine leaks oil too. It's a shame because I really loved this car for the first 75k miles.
I don't know if the newer generation is any better with the engine reliability but I would sure hope so. Also have a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer base model that has been flawless. Great car but the CVT transmission took some time to get used to.

Ours is a 2015 and we haven't had any engine issues and I hope it stays that way. I believe we're at 79k miles, approximately. Yes, I have had the stop-start in a couple of rentals and I hated it.

The newest addition: 69 K10 short fleet 95% rust free. Thought about going after the IROC in the background too but it’s been sitting for 20+ years. Not really wanting to restore anything else at the moment.
