Track alignment done...definitely check yours

I just had my track alignment done. The right rear toe setting from the factory was way out.

Thanks for posting!

Any idea what the correct stock OEM alignment specs are? -1.2 camber front and rear?

I wonder why the caster is not displayed. Is it maxed out at -2.0 camber or you just wanted to stick to recommended user manual numbers?

I had it done at a highly respected race shop and i let them set it up. Unfortunately i didn't track it before so i wont know how much faster it is.

They are only "one time use" if you over torque them...

BMR has said this multiple times as well.

You can and should change the Hunter alignment software to degrees for the toe setting measurement and adjustment. It can easily changed back if mm (old school) is needed.

In reference to your measurement, when was the rack calibrated last? It should be done at least once per year. And make sure the wheel sensors didn't slip during the rolling compensation to ensure an accurate read-out.

Here are the manufacturer center alignment specs for the 1LE:

V8 1LE Street:
Front camber: -1.00 deg
Front total toe: +0.20 deg
Rear camber: -1.00 deg
Rear total toe: +0.20 deg

V8 1LE Track:
Front camber: -2.00 deg
Front total toe: +0.10 deg
Rear camber: -1.50 deg
Rear total toe: +0.10 deg

I believe they were given different numbers from their friends at GM

After driving my 1LE for 350 miles, I decided to do a quick check on the toe. No surprise, both the front and right rear wheels were out. Took it to Mr. Goodwrench, and since it is under 5000 miles, the alignment was free. They confirmed that not only the toe was out, but also the camber. Now the car drives wonderful.

My car seems to drive great, but I think when I bring the car in for the 1500 mile diff fluid change, I will have them check the alignment too, just to be safe...just so worried about them fu*king up a wheel on the rack...but my dealer is pretty good.

Did you have to remind them to use SS 1LE specs? I would be worried about a careless tech not using the right specs.

Pretty sure these are the SS 1LE specs:

Front camber: -1.00 deg
Front total toe: +0.20 deg
Rear camber: -1.00 deg
Rear total toe: +0.20 deg

So I was planning on having the track alignment done before the big 2 day Auto X event in Charlotte next month (also my 1st event!!!) would be ok to leave it with the track alignment after or should I pay to have it put back to street spec? Or is the track alignment pointless for Auto X?
