Good to know on the fluids. I get so many free changes @ the dealership so that will come in handy. Afterwhich I will probably stick to OEM (provided filler cap says 0-w40 dexos 2).

Going to mull over the harness bar/roll bar, 8 weeks till the car arrives.

Yeah if all the new cars come with the 0-w40 Dexos 2 oil that is a bonus. You can even use the 2 free oil changes for track day oil.
He lost the rear and hit a curb that sent him flying into multiple roll overs. Judging by what the car looked like it must have been extremely violent.

Yep, 2 free oil changes are a bonus even for us track rats. Just make sure they put 0w40 vs 5w30 as some dealers might be clueless (until recently dealers didnt stock this oil, so "trust, but verify"

Ok, new train of thought (these rabbit holes go deep!).

Safety Setup:
- Planted Brackets
- Planted Side Mounts
- OMP First R seats
- OMP Sliders
- Schroth 4pt ASM belt (retain the safety in a roll-over where the shoulder belt breaks)
Hopefully retain stock seatbelt functionality also

I really want to get that "planted" feel and not go right off the deep end with a half cage

Does Schroth offer a Camaro specific setup?

Stock seat belts and tunner belts that are designed for stock seats also often don't work well with race seats. In particular the lap belt now has to go through a hole, rather than just wrapping over your legs.

I’ll be taking my new 1LE to NCM for its maiden track voyage next weekend. Just picked it up from installing vorshlag plates and an alignment. Will be swapping out brake fluid and pads Monday. I’m going with ds1.11 pads and motul 660.
