Anyone personally own Borla ATAK, flowmaster thunder or MRT V3 for 16/17

Really just curious about thoughts/opinions on these systems for the people that own them. I haven't seen flowmaster anywhere on the site and I think it sounds fantastic. But so do the MRT V3 and Borla ATAK. How loud is it when idling, driving, full acceleration etc.

Thanks everyone.

ATAK

I installed the Borla Atak axel back. I do not have the NPP exhaust. The cold start is fantastic! It quickly goes quiet during idle, maybe just a little bit more bass. At cruising speed it is quiet. On WOT it is amazing. It has a great race car tone with lots of crackles and pops. My MPG is way down with this beacause I want to listen to it all the time.

MRT V3 is just straight pipe. Which i find personally distasteful.

I have the v1. It resonates the entire car at mid-throttle across a fairly nice chunk of 2k rpms.

WOT it sounds awesome.

Hahaha that's awesome! Thanks for the insight. It seems like the MRT and flowmaster seem a tad bit louder. Some of the videos I've seen make the Borla seem a little high pitched on revs, is that accurate?

I'm not a fan of the V1 from the video I've seen from MRT. It reminds me of my magnaflow I had on my 2013 and and at high throttle it just sounded whiny and high pitched. I wanted something a little lower toned this time.

I should have clarified, I didn't realize the axle was only straight pipe. The full cat system looks like a full exhaust to me but I'm assuming that's just because they remove the resonators and use a muffler.

you're right, the more I hear the V3 its just noise. I think I'm leaning towards the flowmaster.

I'd go V1 before I went v2, it sounds better to me. It's hard doing this across multiple devices as well. They all sound good on my phone but my headphones make a big difference.

MRT v1 will drone and I suspect v2 and v3 will also drone since it doesn't appear that they did much or any driving testing on these things.

They wont drone at highway speed though. With the v1 it's mostly an annoyance when driving around town at certain engine loads at around 2k-2.5k rpms. It will resonate the entire body of the car.

most sound samples wont really capture the deep tones you get from the mrt1. It sounds good idling. It sounds great wot. It's that area in between that is hit or miss due to lack of R&D i would assume. luckily you can work around the problems most of the time by just going faster

on my 2010, I really didn't suffer much in the way of drone, but that was a generation ago ;-)
MRT V1 back then was way too raspy sounding for me. I also had SS chrome tips on my MRT V2s, so the exhaust tips were larger. I don't know if that made a difference in sound, but I loved going under bridges WOT with them.

I would say to rev it in park it does not have a low rumble like v8..for best results, place in D.
