Exposed metal? Rear of front fender and door hinges...

I just picked up a 2010 camaro, it's new and heavily discounted. I just noticed today that when I open the door and look at the door hinges from the outside of the car that the hinges and fender seem to be exposed metal. This is on both driver and passenger sides. Is this normal? The car is black so it's pretty easy to see.

Yea, same thing on my black Camaro, the insides of the fenders arent painted in that area. My buddy noticed it when we were installing my shifter, lol.

Most of the inside parts or hidden pieces are very very thin or barely painted. This isn't just a Camaro thing. My 2010 Traverse is the same way on the inside bottom of the doors it's like the paint is only misted on.

In the right light, you'll be able to see the orange peel in the paint too... looks really crappy.

my 2010 IOM looks fine in the hinge areas, I'd take it in and look at other camaros on the lot.

Thanks guys, I'll go check others. The panels themselves don't look like they've been replaced. It only had about 150 miles on it when I got it, and it was brand new. The dealership is in cambridge, mn (kinda far from anything) so it coulda been a dealer transfer to get that many miles on it.

I have a 2011 White RS, I dont see any of these problems. Actually I think the paint job inside and out is very good. I hav the front end off installing the Heritage Grille and it looked good inside there also. It was made Jan 2011 so maybe GM corrected some of the early 2010 problems.
