10.98 is the best I've seen so far. I don't see it being much quicker. Even on the drag radial, it's still going to be tricky trying to get the launch down on this car. 17CamaroZL1 found that magic key on his 10.94 stock pass, it may be easier finding a unicorn or the tooth fairy than anyone finding that key again. lol. I'm gonna try come spring but I definitely have my doubts. For now, I'm happy with the 11.08.

Well my best time bone stock was only an 11.58 @ 124 something, can't remember the exact MPH off the top of my head. I couldn't get it to hook with a best of a 1.92 60' and the DA was 3700+ FT so there is no way I'm going to get anywhere near 10s with mine. I would bet with a tire that would drop down to an 11.1-11.2 in a best case scenario out here with our weather.

That's an awesome time! Missed it by that much! Congrats!

Lt, I wonder what .008 (10.999) translates to in inches, I'll bet it less than the size of my...ratchet!

Crush pipe mod didn't show to pick up anything from the dyno comparos I've seen and 109 isn't high DA at all for me.

Post up the slip.....

109 DA is very low to me. Guess it's high if you compare it to my 10 second night. Lol! I wouldn't doubt there being no gain from the crushed pipes since the factory muffler is still in place. If anyone looks closely at it, you can see the pipe size shrinks right where it enters the muffler and a cut away that's been posted on this site several times appears to show it shrinking down a bit more after it gets inside the muffler. So I'd say for the crushed pipe mod to show benifits, you'd have to remove the stock muffler too. The first time I looked under my car, I was impressed at how good all of the exhaust looked from the factory......until I got to the rear. Then it was like they were restricting it on purpose. The weird thing is, a lot of guys will change out the entire exhaust except the factory muffler. Is it less of a restriction than it looks or do they care more about the nice looking factory tips and being able to quiet the car down more than gaining more power?

That's an awesome run for a car that might as well be considered stock still. I'm quite certain it would've ran a 10 with less fuel and quite possibly been faster than mine. Great job!

First let me say i have given you crap over the hellcat claims and if your car when that fast as you say then so reason not to believe you. I’ve been an ass and am saying so. I just haven’t seen one here by me or out run mine on the same day so seemed skeptical one could go so fast on just a tire. With all these cars that have stock tunes and blowers iat temp can make or break you. 9 degrees timing on a zl1 from 40 degrees of manifold temp to the 170 temp I was at on my 3rd run Saturday. So if you had a good air day then why not just just think if my car was there too it would beat yours. Lol I don’t want to take the fun out of this by being a prick no reason.

So that out of the way honestly I don’t think a drag radial will help this car like it does the hellcat. We are on a much larger tire that’s pretty sticky stock with heat in it. While I did have over 1/2 tank of gas hoping to have it hook better my final pass which was 11.13 I believe I stalled it up to around 1400 and just floored it and it hooked so drag radial or not that’s was all the car had and was a 1.72 I think. Now the car did get really hot my log as showing 207 engine and 175 manifold temp. So car was pretty far down on timing even on launch and the 124 mph showed how much down it was as I have gone 128 on a much hotter day but cooler engine temp. I could feel it hook hard then go flat then pick back up I honestly feel like hooking so good the torque management closed the throttle more then normal. My log showed 30 percent throttle at 9-12 mph so with in the 60 foot right after roll out. The car always makes more mph when I buzz the Tires slightly as logs show the throttle stays open more. Listen to Dave’s 10 second pass and can hear his car bog down then pick up again. It’s sad the stock tune is so restrictive. I don’t see 10 lbs of boost ever in the logs till 3rd gear. I feel tune only with nothing but messing with the torque management no extra timing is worth a 10th in 60 foot at least. We can’t gain boost with out a pulley as your car can on the tune as it’s somewhat electronically controlled possibly maybe even due to the two fobs to limit hp. I tune a lot of cars so honestly like to learn the dodge setup just because a lot around here to make money off. So while this car might not see a big gain in hp on the dyno off tune only I do believe it will translate into more on the track due to how it uses the power it already has if makes sense. GM was too restrictive period and seems stock dodge did a better job letting the car use more of what it has.
I got my car too hot so maybe was more that I’ll know next time out. Might even try race mode and launch control and log it just to see if that gives me any more throttle then with it all just off. I doubt it but never know.
Appreciate it. I hope you still come to ChallengerFest 9 so we can see what we do on the same track.

What I will say for sure is Dodge tuned the Hellcat extremely hot from the factory. I know a lot about tuning as well, and was shocked when I saw they they had done. For comparison:

My Max IAT at the end of my 10.51 @131 run was 129° and ECT was 208°. I need to drop a 180° tstat in the car to lower that ECT. However, neither of these seemed to affect the timing in the car....Dodge stock tuning is commanding 17-18°!!! That's substantial for a car tuned for 91 octane as I'm sure you'll agree. I guess they went balls out and just let the knock sensors keep things in check.

My max boost was 11.8psi.

Now, I hot lapped the car on one of the runs just to see how much difference it made:

Hot lap pass Max IAT was only 140°! However ECT was nearly 220°. Again, that tstat needs to be changed to a 180° to bring that down, but it shows the cooling system for the supercharger is VERY effective.

The only thing I see in the tune that needs adjusting is COT. Midway through 4th gear on every pass the car goes in to COT and the logs show the AFR change from a very crisp 12.0 to an abysmal 10.0. If I sorted that out I'd likely pick up a tenth.

One thing worth mentioning is that I've had only one issue with my Hellcat since purchase. I was impacted by the supercharger bearing issue where Dodge got a bad batch of SCs and the bearings become noisy. My entire SC was replaced under warranty with an updated part number that has updated bearings in it. That "might" have freed up a few HP over other cars running the old unit, but have no idea. I did post my car made 670RWHP on the dyno the weekend after I ran the 10.51.

Sorry, don't recall, but is your car stock? Reason i ask, at 670, that's less than 6% drive train loss or the engines are more hp than advertised by Dodge.

Wouldn't it help hugely in the 60' time and/or 1st and 2nd gears...no/little slip?

Yes, all stock except for an upgraded drive shaft. Hellcats are under rated from the factory for sure. They are more like 750HP.

Thanks, that makes more sense. Are others seeing similar dyno results?

It's a familiar number, it's most likely Nick (guitarmageddon). That's exactly what he ran on dr's.
