Any SF Bay Area (South Bay) 1LE owner's want to take their cars out this weekend?Looking to meet up on Saturday and take cars up Skyline/Hwy 9 for a run.Hit me up if anyone is interested.

That is an amazing drive, and it is a great idea, however it is not so fun on a Saturday with the upcoming weather unless you are interested in doing a parade pace up and back down the mountain. There will be a ton of bikes (both motor and pedal all the way up).

I think a better idea might be a longer drive further away, like maybe to Santa Barbara via HWY 1.

I’m in Santa Clara. I plan on meeting up with a buddy in Livermore and driving Mines Rd out to the Junction this Saturday. Seems like there has been a lot of police activity around Skyline lately. I was out there a couple weeks ago.

Mines up to Mt Hamilton is a nice drive and isn't inhibited by a ton of motorcycles or police.

A few of my buddies and I are going up 2 weeks from now once I'm back from vacation. If anyone is interested I'll post back in this thread and maybe get something going.

I used to do that drive often, until I almost went off the cliff one time. There is a lot of loose gravel on that road and a couple of the hairpins are full lock turns closer to the top.

These days, I would rather circle and fly over it. It does make a great reference point for practicing flight maneuvers.

To be honest i just wanted to take the car out.It was down for 3 months so i just really want to drive it.I just found out that i have a BBQ tomorrow at 5.So i can go out in the morning or on Sunday.
I did go up Skyline last weekend and there was a CHP sitting at the 4 way stop on Skyline and HWY 9.So i do know what you mean about to many cars, bikes and cops.
I do have a fun run that i like to take every once in awhile.I will take Uvais road passed Calero Reseroir,all the way to 152 West and over Mount Madona, drop down into WastonVille,Go up Hwy 1 to either Soquel/Old Santa Cruz Hwy or to Hwy 9 Felton, back to Summit road and into Los Gatos.
