Has anyone run 30 sidewall all around?

I'm looking at new rims and tires for sale,
The tire sizes are 285-30-20 and 315-30-20

I've had 30 sidewall on the front with a 40 sidewall in the back and stabilitrack put me in limp mode every time I drove it.

I wonder, considering sidewall is 30 all around if stabilitrack will allow it.

Dealer will not reprogram as well as tire shops in town who have the ability to do so won't either because it was unapproved sizes.

Thank you guys in advance.

What you're referring to as "sidewall" is merely a fraction of the equation. The middle number, "profile", is simply a percentage of the width. So, both numbers play a role...

Also, OEM sizing on ZL1 and SS 1LE is 285/30/20 and 305/30/20. So plenty people are running "30 sidewall all around".

Unless you had some really weird tire sizes before or didn't fully learn the TPMS sensors I doubt it was the tire sizes that caused the issue. The tire/wheel combo you're looking at shouldn't cause any limp mode from size alone.

What do you mean by "won't program them?"

A good rule of thumb is NOT to vary more than a 1/2 inch in overall diameter when you compare the front tires with the rear tires. I am running 305 30 19 tires all the way around and stabilitrak has no issues with that. It wont have as issue with the combination you mentioned either

Ok that's good to hear from all of you.

So the dealer will not program any diameter difference because reasons.
As soon as I went back to stock sizes tmps limp mode went away. So I've been more cautious about it .

Thank you guys for everything!

I run 245/40/20 27.7" and 305/35/20 28.4" with no issues. You have to keep the front and rear under 1" in height difference. Been this way for 20 years with GM ABS/TCS/Stabilitrak systems.

Given how easy it is to do, I guess the question is: why NOT relocate the harness?

Nice!
Questions:

Did you have to relocate the rear harness?
What width rims are you using?
Are you using spacers up front?
Would you be able to go 305 up front with no issues at 20"?
