IMO the 1 and 7/8 is the way to go, the arguable power difference to 2" is not worth the clearance and spark plug wire burning issues. I'm still on my original plug wires with 1 zip tie... I have Kooks 1 and 7/8, and my starter came out, other than that it was candy., starter was two blots even that was candy. You have to wrap your starter or you WILL run into problems.

Speed Engineering

I have had my Speed Engineering headers on for 4 months now and have had no issues. All I can say is a great product.

depends on price, bucks unlimited I'd go SWS header... I went with Kooks as a good mid price header.

For the starter, can we just wrap it in DEI heat reflective tape or do we need to get a fiber wrap?

Have tsp 2” headers, clearance issues at the steering shaft and at the skid plate.

I also have the TSP long tubes and had to get the correct bolt for the steering shaft. they sent it to me for free. was easy fix. Cat delete and x pipe to the factory muffler to keep the NPP and had the tips powder coated black. tired of cleaning the chrome. 1 7/8" headers. I will swap out the large suit case muffler to the Borla Xtreme mufflers with the powder coated tips as well.

We ONLY use KOOKS and ARH headers here in our builds FWIW! They both offer a quality product. KOOKs has changed their design slightly since the release of the 6th Gen Camaro and has an excellent fitment and seems to be our most popular item. Feel free to reach out to our Sales Manager at Robert@VengeanceRacing.net or 678-513-7105 ext 2 and we can assist you with a set for your car. We are happy to help.

Regards,

David @ Vengeance
