Question, does putting the car in "Track Mode" disable the AFM?

They did this to save cost compared to the 5th gen Camaro's that had 2 different V8 engines...The L99 for A6 cars that had DOD/AFM, and the LS3 for M6 cars that did not have AFM/DOD hardware.
Thank you for this nice explaining.

So; i understand now on your Camaro: AFM/DOD off only, without changing engines hardware?

No problems, no codes?

Need your answer, I would do the same thing.

Correct, as King said, you can use HP Tuners to shut off AFM with no hardware changes. No codes will be set.

Have to mention:
I did tune AFM/DOD off. I’m very happy with it.

Note: Just used 4 Credits just to license ECU no need for any extra credit.
I did buy 5 credits to do this tune, but when i did write to the car it just use 4 credits and now i do have 1 credit not used.

I wonder if you all have the same situation.?

Question please can i do return to the 1 credit i did not use? And get 50$ back?

2018 Auto Camaro SS
Thank you

Use the other credit to tune your FSCM.

I'm leaving mine on for the same reason.
Have you heard of anyone having engine problems after driving 50, 100 thousand or so miles?
There are some posts saying, that when it does stop working, it will #$^% your engine. Haven't found any posts from someone to who this has happened, so wondering how much truth there is in that ??

I've been running with the AFM turned off using both an SCT and HP Tuners tune. Everything else is still in the car. Almost two years now and no problems...

I havent noticed any mileage drop at all, I had it done purely for the awful sound it would make and couldn't tell you any downside
