I sold my 1LE in October with 19K miles on it to a private individual for $32,500 and was offered $31,000 by Carmax with the same 19K ! Miss it bad, looking at a 2015 Z06-07 Carbon to replace the loss

I just found a new one (Yellow 2018) for sale in So Cal for $38,000. Doesn't mention PDR option, but what a steal!

No PDR at that list price.
Min 1LE w/PDR price was $45,795 for first few months of 2018 production, and starting a month or so ago, $46,295. According to window sticker, options are 1LE pkg, bright yellow paint, and cargo net. Last edited by Boost Creep; 11-15-2017 at 06:36 PM. |

I'm in the market as well and there are a few choice Camaros in my area that I wouldn't dare post about for fear of missing out on one of them when I'm ready to buy. |

Honestly you can't compare what each person paid 'out the door' or even at base vehicle price because there are a shitload of variables to consider.
Each region is going to have different stock. You're going to pay less at a dealer that has more examples sitting in the lot. If you go to a dealer that has that one 1LE in the showroom, that deal might not be as sweet. Example, Maryland has a boat load of the 1LEs comparatively. North Jersey has (scratch that, HAD) two cars with PDR in a 150 mile radius (including NYC). Not everyone qualifies for all the rebates. I certainly didn't get the heavy ones like Chevy Loyalty or Competitive Conquest cash, but still made out with a good deal (IMO). Some dealers have the nerve to charge mandatory $800 processing fees (Koons in VA), others are far more fair. Rates for taxes differ by state also, and so do registration fees. Someone who pays 5.3% in VA and a lower registration fee is going to walk out paying far less than someone in NJ, these are just simple facts. So there's no need to fret if someone got a better deal, on the cost of the car or the OTD price. As long as you think it's a good deal, you can afford it, and you're happy with it, then it's all that matters. Which dealer? Quote:

Carfax shows VIN etching on 1/17/17. https://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistor...&partner=ATD_W I bought a car in north Jersey 10 years ago, they tried pulling that window etching BS on me, $200 for the etching, I refused. They cut it down to $100, I told them I didn't want the smurfing VIN etching, the guy said, "alright, no charge for the etching", I said I don't want a bunch of shit scratched into my windows. Guy says, it's already on the glass, they do it to all the cars as soon as they are prepped. If a car is listed from the NY or north Jersey area, it might as well not exist in my head. I bought my 2018 brand new with PDR for $41,500 out the door and that was without any Chevy rebates. Just dealer deals.

Like many new cars, you lose about 10 grand the second you drive off the lot. as long as you know this going in. Not an investment unless you plan to keep the car for 30 years. It might be worth something some day when cars are all electric and internal combustion engines are for museums. |
