The OEM intake could be made to fit with the right sized coupler.
But why?
The OEM supercharger benefits from a larger intake, a larger supercharger would benefit even more so.

Not likely on a LT4 with a good tune.
Unless you are 1200+ rwhp.

I finally broke a couple last year on over 16 lbs of boost. Stock rings just don't have enough gap. Some like Speed Engineering tore their motors down and opened the ring gap to solve some of the issue when the stock rings want to butt together which is what happened to mine and then it tends to break the ring lands. On my new motor we opened that gap per Manley Pistons recommendations for boosted engines.

I'm running an 80 mm on mine but have a 75 to try and then down to a 70 to see if I still have enough low side fuel pressure and that would put us at about 18 psi. We shall see, want to get ready for the LS Fest.

Thanks for the replies, that would mean fitting the OEM throttle body to the 2650 supercharger and then re-using the OEM intake? I have the bottom of my box cut and am using a green panel filter insert.

Got a few questions, hopefully someone who is knowledgeable can answer these.

What are the supporting mods that are required to install a Magnuson 2650?

Are there any dyno graphs that show the difference in power characteristics?

Heat? Any negative effects with engine and oil temps with running the 2650?

Asking those last two questions, because my ZLE is strictly a track car (road course).

A search will yield many answers to your questions. There are videos of a swap on a Z06 (which will not be that different than your application as far as I can tell). Dyno graphs are in a video by Magnuson, too. Heat data is shown, though, not yet confirmed on a track, as to your application. It seems that it should be better than stock since you're spinning the blower slower and creating less heat but I haven't seen data to support my theory.

Perhaps, I did try to search, but nothing is coming up that answers my questions on the 2650.

The last thread is probably one of the most interesting. There is actual data posted in that thread. I'm not saying it's conclusive, but it's the most data that has actually been collected and shared. Some people here complain there isn't a fair comparison and all that. Maybe that's true, however, this is the data that was shared, so you'll have to decide if you want to reach out to the Vendor or not. At least this Vendor is actually talking to our Community, which I think says a little something. At any rate: it's probably fair to state there isn't much conclusive, but the data is showing at least what this until is producing on mostly stock cars.

The SS and Z06 (I believe both of which are owed by Mike and his son at Magnuson) had minimal work done on these cars, which I think was great for these comparisons. I don't know much about the SS, but I know we were told the Z06 started completely stock. Then, Magnuson's 2300 kit was added. Then, Magnuson's 2650 was swapped on (had to trim OEM valve covers and replace the high-side fuel pump feed tube with a different one, but otherwise not mechanically different than OEM 1740) with a 103 and GMPP CAI, and it made more than 700 RWHP at about 6500 RPMs, which was something like 60-more that the 2300; something like that anyways. If you go through these threads, you'll see.

The bottom line is there is a lot to learn about the Magnum DIs. They are brand-new on the market. What is interesting and most important to me are CARB-compliance and NO TRIMMING THE HOOD TO FIT on ZL1. Not all kits are such, if that is important to you. It looks like the configuration for compliance is the way it is in the information above (about 700-RWHP or so). It is said that there is a way to add port-injection for the Magnuson (it doesn't look as easy as the E'force, but Mike (the President of Magnuson) said it can support port.

Good luck with your search

Nice gains for sure...
Keep in mind that is the 2650 on 15psi vs the LT4 @ 9 psi. You could easily take part of the money it costs to buy the 2650 and do some bolt-ons and get to that power level. Fastest stock blower ZL1 is running mid 9's @ 144.

I just completed the Magnuson 2650 swap. It does require new valve covers, coil harness extension on drivers side and removal of rain shield from hood. 19lbs of boost, twin nozzle meth injection, headers and a long list of other supporting mods! 940rwhp, 860flb. Tried e85 tune and ran out of injector/high side pump. Going to try smaller pulley to reach 1000rwhp and swap injectors and pump in the spring.

Who did the work/tune? Details?

Happen to come across this website after reading this thread, stock intake housing used.

Yep, you have that option of stock or purchase one of the Roto-Fab intakes, the 4 inch or 5 inch depending on your power level but would require a custom tune. Our stock tunes are based off the stock intake and filter system.

Well, I ordered a 2650R LT4 no calibration, fit kit from Complete Street Performance and the 2650R did show up (drop shipped from Magnuson), but the install kit (in a different box) was for a 2300, had 2300 instructions and parts. The day I called Magnuson and spoke with someone there who seemed unsure of what part numbers I should have in the smaller box and sent me to the website to download the 2650R instructions, this only confirmed I was drop shipped the wrong install kit. Then they sent me to Complete Street Performance, who has been really nice but hasn't been getting clear answers from Magnuson either. Again, we think it's just due to the Holiday's and next week we'll get this sorted.

Both companies are good and it's the holidays, but it would be great if someone at Magnuson could get this straightened out for me, it is a bit frustrating.

Hope to install the 2650 sometime this spring.
