I cant recall, I remember flipping the screws to see what end fit best. There were a couple where I screwed them in and was able to yank them out. I recommend using super glue, epoxy or what ever to ensure a good bond.

The instructions on which end to screw in is non-exsistant but when you watch the install video on their site it looks like the short end is supposed to be screwed in. Yeah, was thinking maybe some loctite or gorrila glue.
