Headliner falling

My 18' ss headliner is falling in the front. Is this covered by a warranty?

As long as you have less than 36,000 miles it is covered.

Yep, it should be covered as long as you are still within the factory bumper-to-bumper warranty. If you did any mods related to or close to the headliner (i.e. hard wire a radar detector), you might want to temporarily take it down before letting the dealer take a look. It shouldn't void your warranty and prevent them from fixing the headliner, but it wouldn't hurt as a precaution.

Mine was doing the same thing. It was covered under warranty, but the dealership said they would have to remove the windshield and entire headliner to do it. So I just ran some fitted type weather stripping across the front, and it looks fine in my opinion

Yeah they have to take the windshield out to replace the headliner! Maybe an upholstery shop can repair it for you. I would give that a try before going the dealership route!

There is a technical bulletin on headliners up to 2017. I would have thought they had fixed the issue by 2018. I guess not. There is no recall. I took my 2017 to the stealership regarding the headliner. The service manager told me theyre all like that, I asked him if i could look at the headliner on a few other gen 6 camaros. One was good, some were worse than mine. I feel bad for the people that dont have a clue. When their headliners get worse and start falling off the warranty will probably be expired. Anyways i knew about the issue from doing some research and i printed the bulletin and showed him. They ended up doing a new headliner and a couple harnesses under the headliner. The correct way to remove the headliner is to remove the windshield. Some stealerships force it out of one of the windows scratching everything. You have to be blunt(not loud and disrespectful) and show them proof in writing even though they already know.

What held it in from the factory? Dealer needs to pull the windshield work on the headliner

They told me the headliner was manufactured too short and the fit wasn't correct causing the headliner to come off. Did they tell me the truth, who knows.

My 2018 is starting to droop on the passenfer side. I also have the issue with the windshield fogging up due to the crappy seal around the vent. Both TSBs and voth require the front windshield to be removed. I am waiting till march/april before returning.

Had mine done a few weeks back. Noticed it sagging front passenger side, then looked harder and noticed sagging in the back as well. They pulled the windshield, replaced curtain air bags. Headliner looked good replaced. They deeply gouged the dash during removal and scratched my hood wrap. Had to replace the dash and the wrap. Had to rework the wrap as the installer they contracted did a shit job on the under side. After 3 or 4 weeks and multiple trips it's finally all square. Man I hate taking her to the dealer but luckily my service manager made it right.
Hope it works out for you with minimal headaches.

If the mirror holds the center and a pillar covers hold the edges, how does it fall?

Check right where it meets the front windshield. Look at the fabric edge. Seen a lot of posts where it started on passenger side but mine was both sides and also in the rear windshield.

The material is a bit short and with time and heat starts to fall with gravity right along the glass margin.
