Shoulda hit the Tesla and instead of damaging it, it would have fixed the panel gaps

I'd be pissed to, at least damage isn't structural and minus splitter, doesn't look ilke you;ll need any more parts

Silver lining, though, you have video evidence, hope the new part(s) won't be delayed.
No kidding, without video proof, your insurance company isn't gonna buy the story.

Estimate came in at $2,200, not as bad as I thought it might. Fully covered under my employer's insurance.

Thanks everyone for your understanding, Just crazy!!

Hey that's great that your employer's insurance is covering it! Still unbelievable video with that bee-line to your car.

$2,200 seems a bit high IMO. What exactly is the body shop doing to your car?

At least you don’t have to pay out of pocket. That’s always good news

It is close to #900 for parts ($635 for the splitter and $200 for the front bumper panel). Then the rest is all paint and labor. They need to remove the front bumper and touch up the front bumper piece that sticks down.

It’s a message that 2019 front end belongs in the trash!

Just kidding, tough break OP. Hope you get your car fixed and back on the road quickly.
