Damn... Yeah mine was jumpy after about 1500 or so miles. It has just gotten worse. I have been driving in manual mode because it is so clunky that, like you just said, I feel I can do a better job keeping the car in sync. Fingers crossed I can get my car in this week. I will be taking them for a ride so there is no option for them to give me the "can't replicate" line. I have spent this last week making sure I can replicate every single issue I am going to mention when I get there.

1. 1-2 is horrific, especially at crawling speeds.
2. 4-5 feels almost like a mis-shift.
3. Downshifting into 2 from 3 feels like I am hurting the car.
3a. Coming to a stop in 2nd gear, the car feels held back, and then suddenly "releases" even when still in 2nd gear.
4. Every shift is clunky (best way I can describe the power curve is (*shift*, burst of 100-200 rpm, *upshift by transmission*, burp in the rpm, then it will continue to the next gear) very hard to explain in text.
5. In AUTO mode, if I am rolling from a stop, gently hit the gas and let off, it jerks into 2nd gear even though I am no longer accelerating.
6. Shifting from P to D or vice versa is bad too but I can live with this if it can't be fixed.

Ugh!

Welp... Guesses on the answer I got? Oh right, normal....

The "transmission expert" that rode with me said that the issue is completely caused by me changing from manual mode to automatic mode. THAT'S IT!!!! What the actual ****... excuse my language but I am absolutely steaming at work right now. Brought it in, explained to him what problems I was having, and then went for a ride.

He said he didn't notice anything out of the ordinary... on a 25 minute ride... Like how...? every time it jumped or clunked, his ONLY response was "well, the ECU has to relearn the line pressure and the shift points when you put it back into auto mode from manual, so that's why it feels clunky" WHAT?!

I wanted to show him that downshifting from 3-2 causes the car to jerk and then clunk to a stop in manual mode, but he stopped me and said " well don't do that because then when you put it back in auto, it will have to re-learn again" WHY THE FLYING **** WOULD YOU PUT A MANUAL MODE IF IT CAUSES THE COMPUTER TO MALFUNCTION?!?!?!?!

Needless to say, my car ****ing flintstoned its way to work afterwards and with every shift think I lost some hair. There is CLEARLY something wrong with my car. My dad has driven my car a grand total of 2 times and a distance of about 15 miles and both times he has mentioned the transmission feeling weird. I really am disheartened by the non-incentive of some dealerships to do warranty work. THAT'S WHY I ****ING GOT A NEW CAR!!!!! To be under warranty! My steering issue was normal, effin 3 TIMES before it got fixed!!! My transmission issue is now "normal."

I find it hard to believe that just because I change from auto to manual, it would cause my transmission to feel like it was replaced by one from a 1990s plymouth villager. When I am WOT from a stop, in AUTO mode, my car bounces off the limiter in 1 before it shifts to 2.... explain that...

Literally the entire time he just basically bashed manual mode and told me to never use it because it will trip the computer and it will have to relearn the shift points and line pressures every time.

I have sweat through my shirt already... My email has already crashed twice and I forgot to get coffee... lord help my clients today.

Yeah that part seemed fishy to me... PM me or shoot me a DM on instagram if you have it, when you bring your car in. Hopefully it ends up like and not like

I'm also having this issue. The dealership I bought the car from never returned my calls or emails. Since it's about 90 minutes away, I wasn't just going to take time off of work to go there for nothing. So, I've taken it to local dealers. First dumb f*ck tech said it was the coasting algorithm. The second dumb f*ck tech told me it was not bad enough for him to recommend the flush after we got back from a test drive together. This basically tells me that he admits there's an issue, but it's not that bad. When he drove it by himself, he felt nothing. So after five visits nothing has been done to remedy this issue. This car is the biggest pos I have ever owned.

I am trying another dealership in a few weeks when I have time off from work. They "have the best transmission tech around." So hopefully they can help. The SM did mention it might be the diff too.

If anyone solves the issue PLEASE post and save us all from this curse called CAMARO!!!

If you are experiencing a problem with your vehicle that has not been resolved to your satisfaction,
this will tell you about the BBB AUTO LINE program and how it can help you resolve your dispute.

Yup.. Like i said, the guy who rode with me was the "transmission expert." I don't think my car is a POS, I just want to get this fixed. Everything else I love about this car, but this glaring issue has gotten me to the point where I do not even enjoy driving it. I really hope that the dealership I bought it from fixes this but it is also the same dealership that took 3 "tries" to fix my electric steering problem and failed. I do not think I am ready to file a lawsuit for a lemon because clearly it is just "normal." But I agree. I have to take half days from work to get this shit looked at and the next day i take off will literally cost me money. I am just going to this DS and telling them something is wrong with the transmission... that's it. Maybe I came at this guy with too much info and specific problems. Good luck Kamaro

Brought my car in yesterday morning and got a call last night that the car ran perfectly. No issues at all... Wonderful... I really don't know what I am going to do if "nothing is wrong." I would bet my left arm and my right nut that as soon as I drive it off the lot, it will have an issue if they can't fix it. I can't really approach lemon law because it has not had any "attempted fixes." I really do not even enjoy driving it because of this. I drove my father's 2000 durango today after it had been sitting outside on the side of the road for about 5 weeks. No clunky start up shift from 1-2 and it rode like a dream. WTF?! Shifted perfectly every time. I KNOW that it is not just me being overly sensitive because others have felt it multiple times while driving my car. "Something is not right" was the phrase of choice.

Fingers crossed people.
