Anyone with Recaros on 2SS?

Hi,

A bit of a long shot, but is there anyone who factory ordered the recaro seats on a 2SS and would be willing to share the last 8 of their VIN? DMs welcome if privacy is a concern.

I'm looking at a 2SS with stock seats that is in transit, and I am interested in purchasing the upgraded seats separately. I'm assuming that the stock and recaros are swappable with heating/cooling/memory seats... open to thoughts.

I reached out to my dealership's parts department and they're looking for a VIN which has the recaros already, so that they can find the right seat. The vin for this prospective 2SS for some reason also comes back as a '92 Blazer (?).

Thanks in advance!!

Would a 2SS with the 1LE package work? Or do you know if it needs to be a regular 2SS with the Recaro option?

It should work, the service department only needs it to find the correct part numbers for the Recaro seats.

Thanks Muffins!!! My dealership says they got the part numbers, but that when they try to look up the part numbers, the system says "not found".

85596457
84609492

Supposedly one of these is left, and one is right. GM Parts direct only returns a result for the second number, and it says it's discontinued...

It's weird, because obviously SS 1LEs are still being sold? Wonder if it's a sign of things to come...

Anyways, I think I've reached the end of the road here. Appreciate the assist, love the camaro6 community!

Just FYI, I have seen 6th Gen Recaros go up for sale here and there on FaceBook market place and the Camaro part groups... Usually under $2,000 for both (from what I recall). Mostly SS 1LE/SS versions and not the ZL1 version (red stitching and "ZL1" emblem).

Functionally, they are all the same.
