I have a 2016 2 LT/RS. to get android auto onto my radio screen, i have to plug my cell phone into a usb port.

Do the 2022 year cars have the head unit that links android auto to your cell phone wirelessly? It seems that's the latest thing with new cars & if the new camaros have this feature, I may update my head unit.

go with the Motorola aa wireless dongle I got one from amazon has been perfect I have had no real issues with the device aside from at some moment is will like skip audio for a few seconds (mostly noticed when I'm in heave traffic areas) but its great hop in the car start the car and my phone connects no issues I don't even have to pull it out of my pocket

Wireless AA began with '21 MY (in the Camaro).
However, I think it won't be practical for you. In '19, Camaro go a refresh -- which included revamping the entertainment system. Your car has MOST bus; now it's AVB.
So, you should go aftermarket (as other posts mentioned). There's also this --
