Camaro SS Gen 6 Subwoofer Setup Thread

Interested to see what folks have besides JL stealth boxes in their Camaro's. Please post pics and details on your setup. I know the trunk opening is small but humans are creative.

You can fit a decent sized enclosure in thru the backseat opening. Pretty easy to do a single 12 or dual 10's.

Here is my 12 in a sealed enclosure.

That's a sweet looking enclosure. I love the way you you color matched it to your car. Very cool!

deathbyc4 Do you need to leave the back seat down with the woofers in the forward fire position? Or does it sound fine with that seat back up too?

There's enough room with the seat up for my setup. But it would also be dependent on your subs cone travel. Sound wise, I just tune the dsp with the seat up, sounds fine so far.

Could I ask you to post your sub response measurements. I'm assuming since you're tuning with a DSP you took measurements.
I'm trying to figure out options for sub installs as I'm redoing mine.

TIA

Unfortunately I haven't had time to do a true PC based tune yet, hopefully next month.

Techboy and Death. Both your setups looks great. I'm a fan of Zenclosures for the money they are nice custom fit boxes. I had one housing a 12" IDMAX in my last car. I'm leaning towards one 12" sub but if I can find a good deal on a pair of 10's I'd be cool with that. I listen to mostly metal, blues and some rock. Also likely go with an AudioControl DSP for the bang for your buck over JL and Hertz (both of which I love of course), may want to try a Rockford T1. Not sure about the amp yet, open to suggestions. Want to stay under 1800 including wiring kit.

Next year probably add a pair of Alpine Type X comp's in the front. Rear speakers can stay stock until I feel like wasting more money.

Zen box is well built, didn't want to chance it with that other box maker that shall not be name on here. Only needed to add some sound deadening in the box and was good to go.

I have zero issues with the audiocontrol amps, definitely a step or three above anything else ive owned. My other car has the Kicker Q class amp and audiocontrol has way more dsp control.

Give the hertz mille pro subs a shot or find a shop that has a test set, they are half the cost of the mille legends and i've heard good things.

I had this box made to fit the trunk. Still have a good usable trunk and didn’t have to cut the liner to fit it like you would with the stealth box
