LGR plant parking lots

Drove past the LGR plant today and took some video.

https://youtu.be/fsApEYesbpY

https://youtu.be/0B-XwfPD5wk

Noticed that most of them are LT trim or lower.

I didn't have time to drive past the holding lot further north of the plant. Might have time later this week to see how full it still is if people are interested.

I drive by there once or twice a month as well. I've seen it look similar to that, but maybe not quite that bad

I didn’t see any in the vids but, did you happen to see any Cadillac Blackwings out there?

My Camaro Club had a showing near Lansing today so a few of us took a side trip to the LGR plant. Talked to a lady that was monitoring the lots. Got a few info-nuggets from her.
  • Recently some people got into the lot where the “chipped” vehicles are stored and drove 7 Camaros out. Pretty much sacrificing the paint on the first one to create the hole in the fence. There is suspicion that it was a coordinated affair. Fires were set on the far opposite end of town, then the breakout happened. Police and fire were too busy with the fire. Response time to the LGR lot was over 20 minutes.
  • From where we were standing, we could see 5 lots. She pointed out to us which lots had “unchipped” cars and which lots had “chipped” cars. FWIW, the two V-Series cars were in the “chipped” lot, so they’re on their way to some happy owners.
  • They have been loading cars from the “chipped” lots over the past several days.

Hope they catch those fine folks who stole the 7 cars. I feel for those new owners who waited that long only to have their cars stolen from the mfr's lot.

Despite the Fake News, those cars are probably still waiting for chips. Its what happens when you let foreign country supply your critical parts. Its called being damn fools. Chips also are needed for military vehicles like tanks and aircraft. Lets hope China doesn't do anything stupid while we wait on those Taiwan chips like invade Taiwan and over take the whole chip facility.
