BTW the katech 174 is probably one, if not the best tstat to run in our cars.
My car is an SS, but Ted definitely changed the relevant parts of the fan temp/pwm % curve, it comes on much earlier than stock.

It's pretty easy to compare VVE files from stock to yours to see if that table was changed. You could either compare the files and see if the coefficients are different, or open each file separately, then open each VVE-table and compare. It's not too big a deal.

BTW the katech 174 is probably one, if not the best tstat to run in our cars.
Yes setting where stock, I switched fan and thermostat to 174

I would suggest spending some time over there. Even though these cars are Gen Vs, I'm not sure if it would help or hurt starting there. I had a bit of Gen III experience, so some of that translates to Gen IV and V stuff and makes it easier to digest. There are just more layers with Gen IV that stack on top of III and IV.

For what you're looking for, though, it's not too complicated.

I wouldn't say Pray is not interested, it's a small operation they run with just him and his wife so delays in communication will happen; can they improve on that aspect, I definitely think so. But I also think he's probably the best when it comes to tuning 6th gens which is why I went with him and am glad I did. All this doesn't go without saying other tuners you've mentioned do great work. You'll probably be pleased with whoever you go with.

I don't believe Pray is tuning builds that don't use his parts or combinations for a couple of reasons.

1) Business has grown beyond what him and his wife can keep up so fat needs to be trimmed somewhere.

2) A lot of times when a car comes in from another shop and owner wants a new tune, there are other issues. This ends up creating more headache....especially with remote tuning.

I agree, if any will respond...I emailed Jannetty. Also emailed, called, and PM thru FB Fasterproms...no replies by any as of yet. Makes me wonder how any will be when i am waiting on a new tuned based on logs they have me do.

Hey Ben,

This comment isn't a knock on ANY one of these guys, but I bet they get tire-kicker-emails/phone calls all day. Once they know someone's serious, I be they're all responsive.

I can tell you from personal experience that JRE was great with me. I don't recall how many times I emailed (or whatever type of communication) before I made a commitment to pay or anything, so I won't comment about that. But - even given the 3-hour time difference, Ted was as responsive as I could expect and reasonably hope. I don't think there was a time where I was really waiting on him. I'd send him a log, and he'd get me a tune back, usually within hours - sometimes tens of minutes. Gen Vs will likely take more time than the Gen III (LQ4/LS3 hybrid) I was tuning, but I think you get the gist.

I bet the those guys you're looking at are no different. JMHO.

I think the 4 that i am looking are gonna do a good job. Just want to make sure they will do SD tuning included in the price. Right now its just frustrating i cannot get to the point of asking that cause places are not answering phones or replying to emails. To be fair to JRE, they were only contacted this morning, but 2 others on my list has been days. I am ready to move forward with one once they say they can do it. I am not in a huge rush as the car is drivable without issues. This week i am changing out my stock muffler for Stainless Works Legend mufflers. Ordered those nearly 4 months ago and just got them.

Most of the shops around me in NY, NJ, PA are months out on work and they are slammed. I usually get a response within minutes if I email CSP from Alex but Andrew is pretty busy himself.

I think mostly it’s because he’s playing around with that silly battery operated Tesla plaid. 😂
