If JOHNSONROD (Danny) is helping out with setting up the day, it will be awesome, trust me.

NCM will be a total blast -- deception and the sinkhole are something to behold @ speed ;o)

You'd better believe he is! That guy is AWESOME and has SO much knowledge not just over racing and events, but specifically over the NCM track as well. We talked for a couple hours yesterday starting to work out the logistics and with this much time out, we should be able to get a GREAT day at the track under our belts!

PM's sent out to all those who've paid and signed up so far. Please go through the info and edit your post with the requested information necessary to the best of your ability. Lying about something will do you no good because the instructors will figure it out really, really fast and will place you the appropriate category.
Thanks!

they have tail pipe baffles for sale in the pro shop at the track. you can hold em in with a lil sheet metal screw. ill have tools and a drill there. if your stu stu stupid loud, i have some fabricated baffles that we can weld in. the weld in ones are usually only needed on cars with long tubes, no cats, no resonators, and no mufflers.
i have long tubes, no cats, factory resonators and race mufflers. im at 100 DB on a foggy overcast morning (worst case scenario)
they will give you a chance to fix it if you are over.

I may be okay then. I have long tubes, high flow cats (had to pass emissions where I bought ) and I'm not sure about mufflers. I'll have to think about this event in the novice class, always wanted to learn.

you would love it. the novice class for this event will be comfortable and will start at pace lap speeds first thing. then we build some speed as the day goes on. i recommend that if the group is a little faster than you want, just line up toward the rear of the group and get comfortable. faster guys in any given group should try to line up early. this sorts a lot of it out before we even hit the track.

Have a couple of questions re: helmets and roll bar for convertibles. It wasn't specified if full face helmet absolutely needed, just snell rating. Do we need full face? After market roll bar? Found a sport bar by Classic Industries...does that meet requirements? Is roll bar required for AutoCross? Just want to make sure before we sign up for all of it. Coming either way!!

Snell rated, no full face needed.

Roll bar may depend on class you're running in...

Snell open face is acceptable. I have one like that, in fact...

I will check on roll bar. I'm pretty sure that'll do.
