APEX EC-7RS Group buy

I remember reading somewhere that there was going to be a group buy for these new fully forged guys in May. Does any one have any information on this?

Thanks

Yes. The APEX group buy just launched for May 2022 delivery including the 19" ZL1 1LE wheels. I ordered a couple of sets of their VS-5RS wheels for my 2022 ZLE. Here is the link in case any of you are considering APEX wheels:

Agreed, nice to get a BBS Fi-R quality replica wheel for many thousands less. I’ve bought a lot of wheels from Apex over the years and they’ve never let me down.

I would be interested if they made them in 20”. Doesn’t show either of these wheels in 20”.

I think they will eventually, love the weight on the 19s though.

Curious why you would want a 20" fitment?

Two reasons. I personally think the 20” wheel looks better on the 6th Gen Camaro. To me it fills the wheel well better. And secondly, I have already bought spare 20” tires that I have stored in climate controlled space.

It is really difficult to get a 12 inch blank forged to our specs. When I contacted BC Forged a year ago, they were happy to do 19x10 & 19x11,but when I asked for 19x12 ZL1 1LE fitment, they initially did not want to make them at all, and then said it would be an additional $800 per wheel for the 12 inch. They said that the cost of the aluminum blank was what drived the price as they were "unusual".

APEX may not be a boutique brand, but they seem to have captured the interest of the true motorsport guy, while keeping the price affordable. A true perfect fitment without using crappy aftermarket hardware or spacers. No issue with brake caliper or strut clearance I commend them.

Ive been down the road of aftermarket wheels for different vehicles, and when they get it wrong it's a nightmare on so many levels. I currently have 2 sets of Apex rims and can't wait for my new forged dudes.

I have signature wheels (same as bc forged) in an identical ZLE spec with no additional cost on the rears

Questions about fitment

Hi guys , what would be the size I’d order for my 2017 zl1 for front and rear wheels in the 19 inch fitment ? Sorry if it’s a noob question . But wondering if there would be any size I would be able to run without using spacers etc ? Always feel like it’s such a technically difficult solution 😭😭😭😭!! Any help would be appreciated
