2010 Camaro 2SS BumbleBee aka TheFresnoBeee
So I bought a 2010 Camaro 2SS for my little brothers 16th birthday at auction. He had been in love with transformers since the first live action movie came out and his dream car had been Bumblebee. So that’s what we bought. Needless to say it wasn’t in very good condition. There was dirt in every place you can think of, it squealed when turning, the interior smelt like smoke, they cut speaker wires …the list goes on…BUT…. It ran and drove and only had 50k miles. What I thought was going to be a quick interior clean up, some body work and paint, turned out to be a full gut and a huge project. I am almost done with the project but I just signed up for this forum although I’ve been using these forums to help me along the journey. So thank you to everyone who posts useful info.
So just going to post my project and if anyone has comments or questions feel free. |

First thing to go was those nasty 24” chrome rims and tires. We replaced them with 20” Varro wheels. 20x10 in the front and 20x11 in the back. We also fixed up the calipers, put new pads, new drilled and slotted rotors, lowering coils, and I think that was it.

I believe I then started with purchasing the Ikon ZL1 front end conversion, headlights, switch back fog lights/DRL’s. I did customize the headlights a bit with some RGB lighting. I was also able to use the HID bulbs and ballast from the original headlights on the new aftermarket lights. I can do a whole write up on what I did to the headlights but I’ll just post pics.
