Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel Installed

Just installed a Carbon Fiber steering wheel from Wildhammer Motorsports. Big improvement over the stock wheel in looks and feel.

I’ve had the suede version installed for over a year. Installed the carbon fiber shift knob to go with it.

I can definitely see that, especially if your hands are really dry and cold. Otherwise I think you would be fine the other times.

Does this one keep the heated steering wheel?

Here's a link to the vendor website.

https://wildhammermotorsports.com/16...el-wildhammer/

I did the install myself and I have no skills whatsoever, other than following the instructions on YouTube and borrowing the right tools from friends. The bottom of the website has two video links, both of which I watched multiple times to make sure I knew what I was doing. Everything they said was a pain was true. But overall, not too bad. Removing the airbag is a bit nerve-racking, and a little tricky to get both sides to release at the same time, but it worked out okay. Removing the main bolt was a mess. I tried an electric impact wrench and a pneumatic impact wrench. Neither worked. Probably because my air compressor is better used to inflate tires. I had to use a breaker bar get the bolt off. Considering the wheel lock is deactivated when the battery is disconnected, crouching down in the seat enough get my legs up high enough to hold the steering wheel still between my thighs was not a pretty sight...but it worked. Definitely worth doing.

That looks great. I think reading your post and evaluation of the vendor is what convinced me to do it, if I remember right.
