Hooker Blackheart Exhaust R&D

So earlier this week I was approached by one of the lead project design engineers at Hooker about using my Camaro for their non-NPP exhaust systems
I of course thought this was an elaborate scam to steal my car at first but it quickly became clear it was for real.

After corresponding with JT (aforementioned engineer badass) from Hooker I quickly agreed to meet them in Atlanta so they could get my car on a trailer back to Bowling Green KY. Thursday we met up and they brought me a rental car down to use for the entire time they have my car. I'm also getting comped generously in parts for loaning them my Camaro!!

This is honestly one of the coolest things to ever happen to me and the timing is very awesome because of some personal circumstances that would've delayed me buying many mods for a while. The Hooker Blackheart Unit Manager, Tim, also came down with JT to pick up the Camaro. JT had the project binder for the 2016 Camaro Exhaust systems and went over it with me (yeah it was awesome). Both of these guys are TOP NOTCH! They treated my wife, myself, and a friend I had with me all to lunch and we had a great time. They had some awesome stories and provided insight on what Hooker is aiming for. I am going to use this thread to document my experience and share it with you guys. Enjoy!

If the apparent enthusiasm and pride I saw from Tim and JT is any indicator this stuff will be primo!

So you went to Atlanta to meet a Hooker, they took your car and everything ended up alright.

Looks good, I'm curious what the weight savings will be, 20 lb. or more? I like the straight sections around the IRS.

That's cool. You're getting the work done for free? Only have to pay for parts?
