Not sure why they call them knee pads. They are hard as a rock and take up part of what little space there is.

I have the black suede ones. They definitely don't offer any more cushion than the regular black ones. I will try to snap a few pics today.

Just a tip, you can get them for about $250 on e-bay, $270 elsewhere. A little late for you, but might save some future owners some money. I have mine sitting in the garage waiting for a camaro...

For people wanting these for comfort, you will be very, very disappointed.

I ordered mine with the black suede, and my knees do not come anywhere close to the pads. I stand 6 foot tall and i have to drive with my left hand between my knee and the door for comfort.

These really just ended up being for "show". They don't have much padding either, pretty firm. They do look nice but, not of any real use for comfort.

I think I can get some material and foam at a fabric shop and upholster them myself. I'll post pics when they're done. The door isn't so critical but on cruise my knee is against that console pad a lot.

I have the white ones.

As Glen E posted, they are cosmetic instead of an addition to comfort (at least since I have a 2SS...I guess they would be better on a 1SS or 1LT).

That being written, I DO have my black ones in a bag here if anyone is interested

They may not add any padding, but they sure look better. This will be a definite add on when I get my SS 1LE to go with all the other suede...

They work fine for every day driving. For a long trip I hang a piece of 1 inch foam over the driver kneepad side and it works fine.....

The stock hard black plastic ones on my door are already getting scratched up from me getting in and out of the car, is the leather material the same that makes up the door arm rests?
