The new Magnuson Heartbreaker 2650 is a wicked blower and it will make what ever HP you decide to run up to about 1200. We have a few guys making about 1130 to 1150 rwhp. I've driven my 850 rwhp Camaro on the street but mainly at the strip. Anything over 650 can be a challenge for some on the street and most are happy with that. You won't be disappointed with our 2650 as your mods are real similar to mine and you basically have the same fuel system. I think mine detuned on 93 would be about 800 rwhp and my intake temps are pretty dam low for sure.

I have the Whipple and love it. I’m just about 650 RWHP and that is a handful on the street! IATs have been fine on both street and track, as a matter of fact the IATs were dropping as the quarter mile run went on. Kit was perfect, made for an easy install. Already equipped with a 112mm opening and 10 rib belt, so zero slippage. Unless you need 1100 RWHP, the Whipple is a great way to go IMO.

Its very easy to keep it in 650 range and you can do that without a cam but you'd need the cam to make it easier to get to that 800 hp range also.

As you pulley up the boost it will become more pronounced. But it’s easy to get addicted... lol

Very true. Really need the cam for better HPFP performance above 650 RWHP or so +/-, not to mention the gains from a good blower cam itself.

No traction, period. You'll need a drag radial on the street for any traction at 850 rwhp and most don't really want to run those all the time. I can be running on the highway and kick it down at 80 mph and it will spin the tires until you let off. I run two different tunes, I have a 93 octane tune and I run about 6-7 degrees less timing then I do with race fuel and I run a 90 mm pulley instead of my 75 which is probably about 10-11 psi instead of 16 psi on race tune and 25 degrees of timing. I do run 1000cc nozzle of 65%meth and 35%water for additional for additional fueling. I could easily make more then 900 plus but I'm not spending 6 to 8K on a fuel system. I'm happy where I'm at.

Both are good options, both will make more power then you will put down on the street. 8-900whp will require a full time drag pack. Factory wheels with R888's won't handle that power under 60 mph. Probably will need to pull timing out of it down low and ramp the power in. If you go too much then the car feels like a dog out of boost. The key will be finding a good tuner to take the time to dial in the setup.

Yes, its the easiest way to make power. You don't have to take the motor apart, you can run stock manifolds, optional pulleys to choose from. Of course I'd like to see you choose Magnuson but that's up to you. Its a pretty easy swap on the Zl1 and Z06. You can choose your tuning also, custom or canned. Good luck
