Big Gulp + 2650 = Rubbing

Anyone else with a 2650 and Big Gulp experience this? Looks like one of the hood bolts is rubbing the silicone coupling hose between the air box and hard tube feeding into the tb. I removed the bolt and the hose is not punctured. Still looking to replace the silicone coupling. Anyone know the part number? I reached out to Rotofab and did not get a response. And, anyone know where to get the flat head bolts Rotofab provides with the kit? Thanks!

If it didn't rub thru just loosen the clamps and rotate it to the bottom. No need to buy a coupler.

I believe it's 5" dia. The clamp seen in your pic shows it's for 120-140mm tubing, so 5" sounds right

If you don't drive in the rain a lot, I'd just leave it off, and maybe throw some towels over that area in the engine compartment when you wash it. That's what I did, anyways, but I don't drive it in the rain. Maybe try Fastenall. I think if you do like a "button head bolt" in the correct size on Amazon you could probably find one. I know of a place be me where I bet I could find them.

JMHO.

My memory was wrong... you have to replace those fasteners... duh. Still - maybe consider the above. I know the bump from the standard RF to the BM was worth like 20-30 RWHP on an 800-RWHP car through dyno testing (CSP's video on Andrew's ZL1).

Thanks all. @EDF - Mike only gives his cell # out to people with port injection so I’m out of gas...seriously I think the lack of response has something to do with my zip code and the fact that Rotofab does not sell to folks in CA. Guess I could just cut a giant hole in my hood and call it a day, right EDF?

I have it but I don't give it out unless Mike tells me its ok. I've known him since 2008, good friend. Just go to hardware store, its probably an M6 1.25 thread or just take that bolt with you and buy a phillips head bolt for it. Yes you are correct.

All E Force poser talk aside:

Why do you have a 2650 and a big gulp with stock throttle body?

Shizzy, he has the 95mm Lt5 but I think he is planning a 103 someday after some more mods.

Correct, I have a ported 95mm. Will address fueling and add the 103 or 112 tb and snout after my move.

Originally, I had the stock airbox and tb in order to be Magnuson’s CARB test mule.
