What's this connector?

Under the center console, just forward of the three disconnects to remove the console,behind and to the left of the gear shifter, there's a small connector just floating. Any idea what it's for?

I'm guessing that's for the auto shifter. Probably gear indicator illumination (PRNDL...).

That would make sense. Figured it wasn't important, left uncapped and all.
