That's easy. Push it a little each day and bring it back.

Try a different brand of gasoline like Shell V-power 93 or Chevron 93!

^^^This. More likely than not a bad knock sensor. If it randomly shows up again after the code was cleared, I’d replace the KS.

I took it to Bridgewater, I bought it there and I read good things about the service department but I'm not sure know. Where do you go?

I've had my 2020 for a month with 1000 miles and just got the CEL and knock sensor replaced. Glad to see I am not alone!

I have a 2018 ZL1. I had the oil pump issue at 7,000 miles and the dealer fixed it. Took it to NCM motorsports park last monday for some track time and after about three laps it shut down to limp mode. Drove it to Oreilly AP and they diagnosed it with a knock sensor code. I ended up driving it easy back home about two and a half hours with no SES light on and no issues. Put it in the garage and went on vacation! So now doing research. I believe mine is out of warranty now. I will find out today for sure. Now thinking about a ported blower, pulley and throttle body. Its an A10 as well, 17,000 miles. I really didnt need a project to start with two kids going to college next month!!

I would ask them to verify the number of flash counts on the ECM too. Doesnt take much for someone to tune/mod these cars and put back to "stock" for appearances and reflash back if issues crop up.
Not many people respect the idea of it being potential warranty fraud to hide the mods and claim its unmodded when they break stuff, but most folks do it. If the flash counts cant be verified in the GM systems as being done by a dealership, there's your answer and its time to go through the car with a fine tooth comb. |
