Lt1 to lt4 hpfp for a 2019

Update: Harness 12689504 will be a direct swap for harnesses for anyone with a 2019 trying to upgrade the hpfp to the lt4 pump.

Original:
Everyone that’s done the lt4 hpfp upgrade where the connectors the same. My connectors don’t match up. Lt4 pump 12694529 and my old pumps numbers 12697967. First pics old pump second is new.

Anyone have any idea thought these are plug and play.

Injectors already swapped and d1x with 10 psi

I believe there was a time where the plugs changed - not sure if it was 19 or 20, but you need a lt4 HPFP from the same year as your car

That's not an LT4 pump. That looks like the new lt2 pump with the short body. I just took an LT4 pump off a 2020 ZL1 and it looked like every other year LT4. They have the tallest housing. Taller than your stock LT1 pump. Mis-boxed maybe? Does it have that part number on the pump itself?

According to this and several sites selling that pump it is a lt4. It even has the same fitting. If what was previously said is true its possible to check the wire schematics for that pump connector vs the other and if indeed it is a lt4 just fabricate a wiring harness for it with appropriate connectors.

This OEM GM factory pump is a great upgrade to your LT Gen V build. The stock LT4 engine mounted high-pressure fuel pump will allow 35% more fuel flow with supporting modifications. SDPC specializes in late model LS and LT engine builds and we have seen serious HP numbers utilizing these factory direct-injection fuel components.

My pump has the pn on it. It’s also the same pn from a 19 zl1 can’t even look up the pump for a 2020 which should still be the same pn of 12694529

Looking to see if there’s a replacement harness or why someone did not wanting to cut up my harness for a connector if I can just get a new harness that works with what I have. Would be easier and quicker just don’t know if ones made.

That is unfortunate...I would have expected interchangeability.

What does that sensor actually do?

It’s not a sensor it the connector into the pump.

s3rics213: I don't understand. Is this where the fuel rail pressure is passed to the ECU? Embarrassingly, I just upgraded to LT4 items and don't recall the placement of the sensors...

send it back and get another. I just did a lt4 hpfp last night on my 16 and it was a direct swap. Try DSX, talk to the rep and ask, send him pics of what you shown here. They are great to work with.

I have a 2019 so if you have a 16-18 this thread isn’t of concern. The pump in the lt1 on the 19 camaros have changed. The lt4 pump is the correct pump. For some reason in 19 that harness changed for how the pump gets its power.

its not a sensor that’s separate though it’s part of the pump see attached photo(circled connector) for the hpfp so if you didn’t connect yours you’d not have fuel.

If its the right pump then just plug it in and stop making the same thread in different sections. Obv we all think you somehow got a different pump because the connectors are different. Did you call the place you bought the pump from to see if there are different part numbers for a 2019 lt4 HPFP?

I would think it has to be a sensor of some type?(pressue?) The pump is mechanical, not electrical.
