Whipple Blower LT1 vs LT4 Differences?

I have the opportunity to buy a Whipple 2.9L blower off of a local guy. However, he has a ZL1, so he has the LT4 kit obviously. So I was wondering, are there any differences in the 2.9L blower itself between the SS and ZL1 kits?

From what I can tell, they both use part number W175ax blowers, but I wanted to see if anyone has some first-hand experience and could confirm this unit would work on my SS?

Yes the LT1 Whipple is a 10 rib system instead of 8 rib on the LT4.

You will also need the intercooler, reservoir, misc. hoses, harnesses, and various incidentals I would think. Unless The Z1 guy is changing out all of this stuff as well.

Don't you to run adapters from LT4 to LT1 or is that a LS thing?

You mean these?

https://www.amazon.com/Cylinder-Supe.../dp/B01CKBQ80M

I have not been able to wrap my head around why you need these I thought all the LT series engine shared the same Architecture.

Maybe to clear the valley plate?

I have 2 Edelbrock TVS 2300 LT4 blowers Dirt Cheap but will need an install kit form Weapon X.

Ted.

Yep. If you have an SS you’re better off just getting the Whipple LT1 kit IMO.

I talked to Whipple Technical, and they said its different but wouldn't elaborate. But of course, they don't want you buying used, their in the business of selling units.
