2018 SS Convertible Black Value: Helping Young Widow
Hey Folks,
I am trying to help a young pregnant newly widowed friend who needs to sell her husband's SS Camaro Convertible in order to afford a suitable vehicle for her and her soon to be born baby. The car has 69k miles on it and is in good shape. Cold air intake and upgraded exhaust. Front Brembo pads replaced in last 6 months. Can someone give me an idea of what these are going for? Is it at all special that it's a Fiftieth edition? https://photos.app.goo.gl/4S5RJc8L5EYoTJc5A Thanks, Tradbeau |

I’m sorry to hear about your friend’s loss. Prices are great on used cars right now. For starters I suggest that you take it to several local dealerships and Carmax to see what they offer. Good luck with the sale!

My condolences to your friend as well.
Make sure to check with Vroom and Carvana as well to see what they will offer. Good luck!

Why not trade it in for a more suitable vehicle. Dealers are paying thousands over book value for used cars.

That’s certainly an option but they’ll still want to shop around for prices to know if the trade-in price is competitive. Most of the people I know have done better selling a car separately from buying the next car.

I would suggest taking whatever the highest offer was and using it as leverage for the purchase of the new car aka asking for the same highest offer at a local dealer your friend wants to get the car from. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I will definitely check out Vroom and other similar options to get some comps. This is a great idea.

Hate to say it but that is not a 50th anny, those were in 2017 and had special color striping and such to designate them
What you do have it what looks like a well taken care of 1SS convertible

Like other have said, try Vroom. If you want a straight trade in and assuming there’s no reportable accidents, the value is somewhere around $30k. I’m assuming the condition is “very good”
