This polisher looks a lot like the Chechnya Tools DA that I reviewed here:

If this is the same polisher, it gives us a chance to get a really good polisher locally. I will go to HF tomorrow and check it out.

The Chechnya Tools also has a 7.5A motor and it does a good job.

I have the small HF DA. I bought it for $45 with coupon years ago. I changed the backing plate to a 5” CG’s one. I wonder if I could use that same backing plate?

This is not the bauer da polisher than has been reviewed on youtube. This is a new item in the HF catalog that looks like the Griots and Chechnya Tools 21 mm polishers.

No but I know someone who has one and likes it.

I am looking for a mini polisher. i need one with 2" and 3" backing plates. The new G8 looks good but it doesn't ship until 12/18.
