Cant get any good launches (A10)

Hey guys what launch control settings are you using to get good launches? My best launch so far is 4.7 0-62mph and I can't seem to get any better even after warming the factory tires. Launch control is properly activated and everything but should I leave it in automatic or what? I have a drag even next week and I'd like to beat some Germans at the quarter mile. My car is a bone stock ZL1 A10.

I tried putting everything in track and traction mode in sport 1 or sport 2 and still cant get off the line quick enough. I just wanna get a launch under 3.8 seconds and I'm happy.

The best I've done in my vert to from a standstill to 60mph is 3.7 sec.

Setup & Conditions: Factory bone stock car on original tires. Mode was set to: Sport-Sport-Sport-Sport (Verts don't have PTM). 75F ambient, altitude was <50ft, high morning FLorida humidity... so DA was maybe ~1000ft. 93 pump gas. Surface was a a dry, unprepped asphalt rural highway. Tires were warm from a ~20 mile cruise.

Suggestions: Roll into the throttle, don't mash it. Use Sport mode, which allows more wheel spin. Or if you're good you can turn everything off. IMO, Track mode will limit output to avoid spinning the wheels, which is good on a track to avoid wrecking your ride, but not good for max effort in a straight line.

You need a sticky tire. With my A8 scat, I was only able to pull 4.7 no matter what I did bone stock on the stock tires. I put on some MT ET Street R's, still bone stock other than that, and I was able to pull 3.6 just straight stabbing it from a dead stop. Traction makes all the difference. I backed that up with a 3.7 and 3.8. This was all on the street in like 50* weather/dry pavement.

Your rear tire preassure needs to be around 24...25. Put your suspension in tour so the car sits back on the rear tires. I wouldn't use launch. Just get your tires warm with a burn out. All you want to do is throttle down smoothly so you grip and dont slip...it takes practice. Ive run 3.5...3.4 and one 3.3. Almost all in sport with a double tap on the traction control so all nannies are off. It takes practice!

What he said. I got my best times not using LC. Turn off all the nannies and roll into the throttle. I also manually shifted as a few times the tranny would get a bit confused after a little wheel spin. A few times it wanted to upshift too early after the tires bit.

I would also suggest using a little brake torque to about ~1700-1800 RPMS. You still need to roll into the throttle, but you are bit into the boost as you start out.

What is top speed in 1st gear with A10? I have an M6 and it's crazy how fast you can go in 1st. Do people recommend staying in first up to 60 for 0-60 run in an M6, or shifting to 2nd?

I do sometimes miss the AWD advantage of my 500 whp Evo X with SST (DCT), that thing could launch like a MFer in auto mode--just mash throttle and go with that turbo slingshot feeling. Then I remember all the problems with mods breaking and I get over it :-)

I can do a 15 second burnout and still get the tires to spin like crazy. It is all about learning that throttle control.

Launch control works fine on my car. Maybe you guys are setting the launch rpm too high. I get 3.4 to 3.6 range consistently.

I get 3.7 all day long with a power brake and stock tire psi.

What are your LC numbers if you don't mind me asking, I had crappy times with LC. Maybe my LC rpm is wrong.
