Anyone with BMR Rod ends running daily driven, or year round?

Toying with upgrading from my single adjustable to all rod end single adjustable. was wondering if anyone who runs their car, snow, rain, etc... basically a daily driver and year round.

from various posts, I understand the NVH is slightly more vs stock, that's a given. but given I already and running the diff and cradle lockouts, I doubt its anything to bat an eye at.

I talked to two people at BMR. frank suggests sticking with the singles if I don't have a need for adjustability. which I very well might, and just put the loot towards a getting a new bell m.8 helmet instead.

just looking at some options.

if you have single or double adjustables, if ya can, post how long ya had em and how ya use em. appreciate it

I have a SS I too have installed the diff and cradle lockouts along with the front and rear bracing from BMR and have replaced all the rear arms that I could with the BMR double adjustable didn’t really notice any more nvh until I installed the toe rods they introduced a clankiness to the rear end it’s really pronounced when it’s hot out like 80 plus it can be a little annoying at times but with the stereo on or if you have an aftermarket exhaust it would drown it out I’ve had all the parts on for about 4 months now I daily drive my car and I think it’s worth the upgrade feels tighter through the corners hope this helps best of luck

I have that same issue with the toe rods. I put all the arms on at once and couldn't figure out what the clanking was so it must be the toe rods then if you have the same clanking. Same thing also with temperature. The hotter it is the more it does it.

Appreciate the reply. Have you added anything to the toe rods recently or any of the rod ends on the suspension arms to lubricate them? I've heard of using various things. Just two days ago I I cleaned off the toe rod rod ends with brake cleaner and applied the Amsoil HD MP metal protector spray. The toe rods have quieted down immensely.

The main concern I've had with using the rod ends are the rear bar links have rod ends in them. I sprayed them with a WD-40 specialist spray a while ago, but they're kind of dirty now. The toe rods haven't gone through a winter yet but the sway bar end links have.

I'm planning to recoat everything and have everything working smooth within the next month.

Have you had the toll rods on for a while now?

Any reason you’d want to go with the BMR toe rods over the FE3/FEA rods? I was thinking of going that route but I’m reaching the point of diminishing returns For suspension mods.

I went with the BMR toe rods over the GM counterparts mainly so I can dial in toe a bit quicker? If you want to say that...? I think some people may find it easier (mainly those that are doing the alignment) to simply rotate the bar in or out. Versus doing the toe adjustment with the OEM GM bolts.

The toe rods from GM have the ball jointed ends. And likely will do the same job as the BMR. The center part of the OEM setup is still stamped Steel. The BMR rods will probably be stronger overall, but will come with the inherent noise as a result of it.

Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the BMR rods have less Flex in them mainly for hard launches with higher power. Even myself I've toyed with going to use the f e a set up over the current BMR setup I have if the noise gets to the point of being unbearable. Although I have a good ways to go considering the other mods I do have

The toe rods were the last arms I installed I didn’t have any other clanking from any of the other arms I didn’t want to put anything on them like grease or a lubricant so that dust and debris would stick to them and cause a bigger issue I got mine off of eBay from someone who installed them for a short time but the noise was to bother some for them and they went back to stock

Camaro, where?

I am ready for toe rods for my 16 GT, and I have BMR cradle lockout & CB006 4 pt. front brace. BMR has better prices than Steeda, and the designs are superior, jmo. Firestone can't seem to get - camber for the front and I believe they will give me better launch.
Vertical links will help my pony as well. I am dropped on progressive springs.

I'd second it/recommend it from the posts I've dug up over the past 3 weeks... and now from experience.

Long story short, I started to develop a low pitched squeak, couldn't nail where it was from. the poly bushed arms, or the rod ends. haven't had an issue with the trailing and control arms over the past two years. grease em via the zerk fittings regularly. but I thought I may have damaged the bushings or dirt had clogged the grease holes. couldn't figure it out.

recently removed em and BMR (Frank, fa'afetai!) were gracious enough to get me a set of new bushings and fitting to install to help trouble shoot. did em. sadly the noise was still there. could tell when jacking up the suspension by the lower control arms to reinstall the trailing and upper control arm. and these were freshly greased bushings... squawk still present.

granted I had sprayed em sorta 2 days ago. last night I was able to get BOTH sides with the brake cleaner and literally soak the rod ends and let em sit overnight with the Amsoil HD Metal Protector. this morning when I looked at em, they are kinda wax colored, but they aren't sticky, or anything. its a dry coating. 2 hours before use and 12 hours to fully set.

I drove around 100+ miles on just an afternoon fun run and not a single sound from the rod ends at all.

so if anyone has em, i'd def suggest this if your gonna run em constantly, daily driven, year round, etc... on the arms (with rod ends), or toe rods.

if you still have em, and run across any squeaks or squawks, def invest in a can of the MP
