Anyone move from a C7 M7 to a ZL1 M6?

Other than this 1st gear bog when trying to launch how it the rest of the experience? Do you notice a lot more pull in 2nd and 3rd vs. the Z51 or GS C7s or the does the weight difference kind of even things out?

Any other impressions you can share?

Thanks.

I'm a convert. I'm actually surprised that I don't feel a huge difference in how the car pulls. It might be there but I don't feel it seat of the pants. But I am amazed at how much cornering grip the car has. I am easily beating all my track times with the ZLE. I'm also going through tires like its nobody's business! Two track days and they're done.

Thanks. I wonder if it is the gearing difference. Much taller gears in the ZL1.

Thumbs up

What I noticed coming out from an automatic A6 transmission Stingray Z51 to my 6 spd manual transmission Camaro SS, that the Corvette felt more agile/nimbler on the road while changing lanes at speed or taking a curve, probably because its lower to the ground and lighter weight, the Camaro felt heavier on the rear while doing the same maneuvers. But I really love my 6 speed manual transmission of my Camaro, the exhaust sounds louder and my wife prefers the seating position of the Camaro, the driving feeling feels faster on the manual transmission because you rpm it to your own (probably is not really faster, just the driving feeling).

I think it's more the rear end ratio 3.43 C7 vs 3.73.. I would think the vette would pull harder since its lighter if traction was equal.
