XM Radio 5 months @ $20

Anyone else get this offer in the mail? As long as you cancel before the 5 months you won't be charged recurringly. It also says the $15 reactivation fee is waived with this offer.

Oh, and it's the "XM Everything" plan.

Sounds like a pretty good deal.

I got that offer, too. My biggest problem with the XM is how frequently it drops out. In tunnels, under overpasses, beside big trucks, trees in the area... I probably won't be taking them up on the offer.

Its Satellite radio, it needs a direct path to the satellite for signal, so there is no way to avoid cutting off in tunnels etc, just like youre Direct TV needs to have a clear view of the sky.

Big trucks and trees? i haven't had those kinds of issues.

Depends what part of the country you're in. Driving in NJ my car never loses signal, driving around LI it can get super annoying. Sirius had MUCH better reception probably because they have more satellites.

I got this deal too. The small print says unless you cancel after 5 months they will charge your card $12.95 (or what ever the going rate is at that time) every month.

This has been discussed before........
I signed up for the 5 month deal and told them to send me a bill for it. Paid by check, so they don't have my card number.

After the 5 months I'll determine if I want to continue with the next offer.

NEVER GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER !!!!

They hit me with that deal just over a month ago and I said that I would except that deal, then they wanted me to put it on my credit card. DO NOT DO THIS! I told them no way and to just send me a "bill" in the mail and I would send them a check. After a few more talking of them trying to get me to use a credit card and me not backing down, they said O.K. Well, like I said, that was over a month ago and I finally got a bill and I sent it out yesterday and wrote on the calender to cancel in November. This way they can't automaticly bill your card.

I got it for the 5/20 last month. It's not my daily driver so they'll either cut me a deal when it's up or it's cya next year xm.
